The Dome

The purpose is to provide an all weather indoor facility for the first team and the community. The club and SMISA have been able to fund 76% of the purchase cost and it is hoped the council members can assist to repay the funding gap currently provided with borrowing.

UPDATE

Dome built and in use generating additional revenue and providing a home for the Panda Club on match days.

Fans Council with the help of fellow supporters provided additional funding via The Fans Council lottery.

The Void

This is the area in the main stand adjacent to the corporate area which has been undeveloped since the opening of the new stadium almost 6 years ago.

It is believed we could greatly improve the matchday experience and offer a facility for the members / fans to enjoy both a family and fan based facility providing both food and drink.

UPDATE

We are now funding the build costs of this area by creating a supporters club called the SMFC 1877 Club with the help of fellow supporters contributions and the football club.

Our Disabled Fans

There is a concern with the facilities provided for our disabled fans in adverse weather.

We would like to investigate any alternative provision to make their visit a better experience in poor weather conditions.

UPDATE

We attempted to raise funds via the St.Mirren Community Trust Charity with an application for funds from Aviva’s Community Trust Awards but was unsuccessful.

We have worked with both the club and St.Mirren Disabled Supporters Association to secure alternative funding to provide additional weather protected facilities to be built in the main stand.

Tribute Banner

Our history, is hugely important to every St.Mirren supporter and as such we want to create a tribute to our history making, League Cup Final winning team.

As a result the Fans Council are creating a 5m by 9 m banner to remember and celebrate our Cup winning team.

UPDATE

League Cup Banner made and in use at important away games and home matches when away stand not in use.

It will be displayed at matches closest to the anniversary of our famous victory in winning the League Cup on 17th March each year, St.Mirren’s Day !
